NSW man charged in gay chat site robbery (AAP) - ( 4U5TR4L14 )

A second man has been charged with robbing and assaulting a man at a hotel during a meeting arranged on a gay chat site.

Police say the 34-year-old alleged victim met with another man at a Surry Hills pub on September 16.

The two, who’d found each other via a chat site, went to one of the hotel’s rooms.

While inside a third man entered through a balcony door and allegedly assaulted the 34-year-old, deeply cutting his scalp.

It’s alleged his property was stolen before the other two men fled the hotel.

A 29-year-old man was arrested a short time later and a number of items were seized.

A second man was arrested on Thursday in Gosford.

He was charged with aggravated robbery with wounding and refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Friday.
